 Early American Trades Coloring Page

This early American coloring page shows a woman creating her own thread by spinning cotton or wool fibers.

As the new American Colonies grew in population there was a constant need for the creation of goods and services needed by the new colonies. Tradesmen and home craftsmen alike found their services in great demand. As towns and states grew there began the need for common social services such as policemen, firemen, mail carriers, lamp lighters and town criers. In addition the butcher, baker, blacksmith, and candle maker were always in high demand.
